Valentine's Day was here! Damon and I spent the day together and exchanged small gifts.I received some pearl earrings and a crab brooch! I love them! Thank you, Damon! Damon received a card with lemonheads in it (he loves them!) and a video game of his choice; when he wants it. Overall, we had a great day just hanging out together, we had Surf & Turf for Dinner. King Crab legs and Steak; along with potatoes and green beans. It was delicious! I thought I would give everyone an update on how the list is going. I would say I'm off to a good start. I plan on starting at least 5 more list items within the next month or so. I had planned on listing eBay items this weekend, but unfortunately that did not happen and I am not completely finished getting rid of my 'i'll wear that later collection'.....I like to keep busy and I do. status: I have 11 items I know about Erica listed below. In order to keep her privacy, some are written in white. =) Has 2 puppies, Daisy and Shadow. She lives in Charlotte. Her and her husband, Devin, Damon's brother, are going to at least # wedding(s) this year. She did not vote for President Obama. Her and Devin won an IVF cycle at a fertility seminar they attend. Erica works at Carriage Club. She is from Lincoln Park, MI and isn't yet #0 years old. Her hobbies include bonfires with friends new and friends old who visit.
She loves to keep a neat and tidy house and sits in her sunroom with coffee.
Her and Devin both enjoy wine tasting and going to the dog park and dog bar. She is going to college at Colorado Tech. Univ. I have talked to Erica on the phone several times since embarking this adventure and have learned even more than what is listed here.

Everyone on his side of the family calls him Anthony. He was introduced to me and my family as Burch. He is one in a line of Burch Anthony Stokes name sakes. He is funny, and likes to tell a lot of jokes. Just a laid back kind of guy. He is a magician, but I knew that. He has been married, but is not now. He has a dog named Ralph. Ralph is a miniature pinscher. I think Murdok and him would be so funny together. When you ask him a question involving numbers he exaggerates the answer. e.g. How often do you tie your shoes? He would answer'40,000 times a day!, in a funny way. He has a house with a fenced in yard. Burch is a fisherman, and has a boat.

This is one of the cases that Burch went on this week, just to give you an idea of what he does....he saves lives....Here is the story:
He heard an alarm while we were on the phone on Wed. nite at about ten pm...he said " I HAVE TO GO!" It was some sort of Search and rescue alarm it was something really serious and you have to get up and go. So he had to get off the phone. I told him to text me when he got back to the station and back to bed. So...I went to bed and woke up and then I texted him at around four thirty as I was getting ready for work and he told me that he was just getting back to the station and that there was a crazy case that just took really long....that's alot of hours out on the water looking for people that are missing. I just wanted to let you guys know what goes on with Burch, cause you're always asking about what he does and if he worked on a certian case that was on the news. He ended up seeing someone floating in the water, and if the water was any deeper....beings that it was shallow he didn't have to touch the body but he was less than three feet from the female that passed away.

status: not so good. I am slacking on this one bad. =(
#19. Go back to college.
status: I have been researching where to go. I have always wanted to go to MICA, the Maryland Institute College of Art, now that I am a Maryland resident, it will be way cheaper than when I lived in Ohio and wanted to attend. I have also researched Strayer, AACC, UMUC, Kaplan Univ. and Univ. of MD.
#22. Get out of Credit Card debt.
status: We have been paying more the the minimum on CC's and with the tax return I will pay of 1 credit card, and my line of credit, Damon will pay off his line of credit and will put a dent in one of his credit cards that we used for the wedding. We are on the right track to getting this one finished.
#23. Finish Devin's paintings.
status: I was cleaning my closet the other day and stepped on the canvas of the project I was working on. I have since scrapped that artwork and idea and am dwelling on a new idea, which has just started being produced. I feel it will be better than the previous work.
#24. Finish Kate's painting.
status: I have drawn on this piece of work a couple of times since starting the list; and will begin painting in the coming days. Will start painting by 2/27/09.
#30. Keep my house presentable.
status: I have been pretty good at keeping the downstairs tidy, or close enough to tidy that all I have to do is spend ten minutes putting things in proper places. The second floor has been neglected. I have been trying to sort ebay stuff and newpaper clippings and filings and scrapbook stuff.....really a lot of paper since my 'office' is on the landing now, since Justin lives in the second floor bedroom. Our bedroom is pretty good. I am in the process of doing my laundry. Damon cleaned our bathroom today. It looks great! Thanks, I appreciate not having to do that!
#35. Store Lifetouch equip.
status: I rearranged the furniture downstairs and created a 'cubby area' that the equipment fits in quite nicely and nearly out of sight, it's less noticeable at least. And not in our way anymore.****New Task Started***#40 donate my 'I might wear that' collection
I have sorted through a lot of clothes and have gotten 4 bags of items to donate. Now I just have to wait on the VVA to pick it up.

status: right now my laundry is not overflowing, but it needs to be done today or tomorrow to keep up with this task. Damon has the one on the far left, because he does not sort his clothes, he just throws them all together. I have the 2nd one for my work clothes, the 3rd one for lights/colors, and the far right one for darks. Maybe I should minimize the amount of bags I use.#69. Shoe Basket
status: I am happy with the amount of shoes in the basket, although it is more than 3 pairs each. It is about 11 pairs of shoes and they fit nicely. I will be marking this task complete in the coming weeks when the basket still has 11 pairs of shoes in it....LOL#73. Keeping in Touch

status: I have taken a few pics of my fountain. I have gotten a little bit of the effect but I don't believe the water is moving fast enough. I am researching local streams/rivers to see where would be good to try this more extensively.

status: I have not been taking my camera to every day visits. Only to events....Birthdays etc.
#92. Limit TV
status: This has been so-so. Some days I watch little to no TV, some days I watch 5 hours to catch up from watching no TV. It averages out right to 3 hrs or less a day but it is not literally 3 hrs or less a day.

status: I have taken the photos and posted them on my website. I will also be listing them on eBay this weekend.

status: check the dates on the blog archives....no dates are more than 7 days apart. I have kept up with this one religiously.

status: Last week I didn't cook for everyone 4 times. We all ordered out or we made food for ourselves. The weeks before, I cooked.
