GG's 1st Birthday!

Last weekend I went to Pennsylvania to visit an old friend of mine, Jess, and her family. Her daughter, Gianna "GG" turned 1 year old. For GG's birthday present I offered to photograph her birthday weekend and her party and the family in general (and a cute little summer dress) (; Jess' Parents, Joyce & Tony, brother and sister-in-law, Aaron & Mandy, and niece, Emma, were there as well. This family is dear to my heart and I wanted to give them something they will have forever and can cherish as well. I love you guys!

We had so much fun! The kids were great, both Trenton (2) and GG, and Emma as well. I also got to visit with Jess' Parents and brother. I haven't seen her parents since last year and her brother? Well, I'm not even sure when the last time I saw him was.

Jess and Jason decided to get a babysitter for Friday night and we all decided to go out for some drinks. (What? Parents don't get a break?!?) We had a blast! We sang a couple of Karaoke songs and had a few drinks and danced. We saw 2 fights! The first one was two guys and they started it in the bathroom. The other was a girl fight because the guys pushed one girl into another. It was crazy! A few people got kicked out.

While at the house, I tried to be unobtrusive with the camera but sometimes I felt like I may have been overwhelming. The kids had a lot on their plate with pictures being taken and people they haven't seen in a while and new foods, and eating with a utensil for the first time....I mean that is a lot for a little tyke to be trying to juggle around. But we made it through and it was so much fun!

By the end of the weekend I ended up taking about 1100 pictures! Of course I haven't deleted a lot of the rejects but I hadn't expected to take that many photos!

It was a great weekend with the Capers/Zimmermans. Oh how, I miss you guys! I can't wait to see you all again!

After GG's party Jess took me to see the windmills by their house. I thought and you may be thinking as well...windmills, like in Holland, old wooden windmills. No, that is not the case. We went to a 'wind farm'. Large metal 3 blade windmills used to produce electricity. They are very large.

Now on to GG's part of the weekend.....

GG's actual birthday was Friday the 27th. She was so cute wearing her cupcake inspired outfit. She's just adorable. I kept telling Jess she's gonna have to be locked up or she's gonna be a heartbreaker! You know though you've seen some pictures! ha!

For GG's birthday Jess decided to have a "Princess" themed party! How Exciting!?! Jess, Mandy, and I went down to the church on Saturday and decorated. As you can see it was so cute! It was a hit and everyone had a great time! GG got lots of cute clothes and some toys; both fun toys and educational ones.
