I have been very busy.
I photographed a wedding in April for some of Damon's extended family. I had a great time. The Bride and Groom were fantastic! And both of them looked great! Here are a couple photographs.

Danielle, one of only two cousins on my mother's side, graduated in May. My brother, Justin, and I went to the graduation. We are so proud of her!

I also went to a friend of mine, from high school. Jess' daughter had her first birthday! How exciting. I spent the weekend at Jess' with her husband and son; and her parents and brother and sister-in-law and niece. We had a great time. The kids were great and it was heart warming to see the whole family again.

Damon and I are still trying to get pregnant. I had some lab work done yesterday. It was a pregnancy test which I got the call for earlier that was negative. Looking into a couple fertility clinics.
----Little more in depth below. You can get the gist by just reading those few sentences above.----
I have not had a period in 11 weeks. My cycle has been like this since I began menstruating. So this is "normal" for me, but not actually "normal". If the results come back negative then I will be put on progesterone to induce a period and essentially "clean out my system". (Accurate description without the PG-13 rating lol) Once i take the medication it could take up to two weeks to have a period. Normally my body responds in 5-6 days. I have been doing research on Shady Grove Fertility, http://www.shadygrovefertility.com/ and Dominion Fertility http://www.dominionfertility.com/site/index.aspx Damon and I are making a decision on who we want to help us in our endeavor to parenthood. We are also going to go over our insurance and see exactly what is covered; I'm sure we'll have to call them.
Damon's brother, Devin, and his wife, Erica, are pregnant with twins! Congratulations goes to them! They won an IVF cycle and it has taken hold the first time. Amazing!

My brother has been living with us for a few months now and will be moving out on June 16th. He will be moving back to South Carolina. His cell will stay the same so if you already have it you can still get a hold of him. If you need it, call me. I will miss him but I have to admit I can't wait to do stuff to the spare bedroom. =) Love ya, Bro!

In May, Tori Amos came out with a new album. Abnormally Attracted to Sin, is one of her best albums yet. There are at least 7 songs on the album that I absolutely LOVE. In varying ranges of LOVE of course. I will be going to see Tori live at DAR Constitution Hall on August 1.

The beginning of June, Dave Matthews band came out with a new album. Big Whiskey and The Groo Grux King is by far the best Dave Matthews band album yet! Not just a tribute to the life of Leroi Moore after his tragic loss of life in an ATV accident (May he rest in peace); this is an awesome, hands up the whole time, roller coaster ride of musical talent! The saxophone solos and heavy brass tones throw this album out of this world and beyond the far reaches of our galaxy! The deep meaning of the lyrics and the groove between music and words. Oh! This album! This album has healed me, emotionally, spiritually, and sexually all in less than 2 weeks! God, this album is....phenomenal, better than DMB or anyone could have ever anticipated! They can't do better than this! But I hope they prove me wrong!

I have done quite a few items on the list. As of today 868 days for my list to be complete. I hope I can accomplish everything. I'm not giving up, I just feel like 868 days isn't really that many, but in perspective it's only 200ish from 1001. Hmmm...see, it's looking up already! =) List update at:

We went to Arlington National Cemetery a couple of weekends ago, with our friends; Paul and Sandy. They we searching for a couple of headstones and I went for the photo opportunity. There is so much tradition, and honor, and history. It's magical in a sense. It really grounds you and overwhelms your heart with emotion. The Changing of the Guard, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, all of the unknown graves....It grabs your soul.

I want to leave you with some DMB lyrics from his new album.
Funny the Way It Is
Standing on a bridge
Watch the water passing underneath
It must have been much harder when there was no bridge, just water
Now the world is small
Remember how it used to be
With mountains and oceans and winters and rivers and stars?
Dive In
One day, do you think we'll wake up in a world on it's way to getting better?
and if so can you tell me...
how?
I have been thinking that lately the blood is increasing
the tourniquets not keeping hold in spite of our twisting
though we would like to believe we are
we are not in control
though we would love to believe
Wake up sleepy head
I think the suns a little brighter today
Smile and watch the icicles melt away and see the water rising...
Summers here to stay, and those sweet summer girls will dance forever
Go down to the shore, kick off your shoes, dive in the empty ocean.
Inspiring.....
As Before...The Stewarts
